Eco Diapers to new born babys

In April 2010 the Green stork project has started at Incisa Valdarno too. A concrete reply for new parents, togeter with an importan environmental action. The local Administration has decided to give a diaper kit as a present to all new born babies. Parents will receive these presents in the town hall building. The Ecobimbi Ecological Diapers, Tuscan company, leading producer in Italy, are made of natural materials, cotton which has not been bleached or chemically treated. Moreover, it has been estimated that compared to traditional diapers, even the cheapest ones, ecological diapers enable families to save up to 70% in two / three years. Actually the average cost of disposable diapers ranges from Eur 1600,00 to Eur 2300,00, regardless of the brand considered. With washable, ecological diapers a family spends on average Eur 450,00 in the first three years. "In addition to saving money, which is an important aspect, benefits for the environment are involved" says Ms. Tamara Ermini, town hall environment councillor. "A reduction of wastes (it is hard to believe: about 6000 diapers in three years, which is one tonn), of water comsumption (even if water is used to was the diapers); reduction of 90% of renewable raw materials, and reduction by 66% of energy consumption. Moreover, Eco-Diapers are healtier for the baby's skin. Thanks to its natural materials they do not bring about skin reddening and erythemas" Mayor and Environment Councillor have summoned a PRESS CONFERENCE on this subject at Incisa Val D'Arno in the Town Hall Building, in the Sala Consigliare "Manuele Auzzi" on April 22nd 2010 at 11:00 am. On that occasion the parents of new born babies in 2010 will receive a Kit of Ecological, Washable Diapers.
